Overview of the Program
The department of Mechanical Engineering strives to train students in mechanical engineering science as well as application of these scientific methods to conceive, organize and carry out scientific design of engineering systems. Our primary goal is to train future leaders with high-quality engineering education. The aim of the department is to disseminate knowledge and technologies through quality teaching, research and its applications in mechanical and allied disciplines.
Our Laboratories have been very well established not only to cover complete syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond the syllabus which definitely develops complete knowledge of the subject. We have a team of dedicated and competent faculty with research bent of mind, driving the department towards excellence in quality education, project guidance.
We are able to organize seminars, workshops, faculty and staff development programmes on wide-ranging topics every year. The department has very good industry-institute interaction and organizes technical talks and industrial visits for students periodically to provide an opportunity for the students to interact with working professionals from industry. We strive to ensure that all our young students have a strong education with leadership, management and teaming skills, internship experience, and involvement in student activities.

Admissions to DYPCET are as per the guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education.
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra State will conduct MH-CET (Common Entrance Test) for admissions to first year B.E/B. Tech programs for academic year 2017-2018. For more information visit Directorate of Technical Education website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in
