Overview of the Program
ELECTRICAL is the power Department of the D.Y.Patil Technical Campus, Talsande. Electrical Engineering is one of the core branch of Engineering. With the growing demand of Electrical Engineers in the Government and private sectors, the Department is making best efforts to produce highly trained and capable engineers who can take up the challenges of the real world. The quality of academic instructions, conduct guidelines and college activities are designed to produce competent and successful engineers. In the Department, the focus is on preparing professional engineers.As far as the Department is concerned, academic standards and practical work are the two key parameters. The Department of EE has a fine blend of renowned as well as young and dynamic personalities as faculty, who are involved in imparting quality education. The faculty strives to foster and encourage a teaching methodology that is both practical and theoretical in approach. This orientation has led to successful projects and trainings.
The lab facilities are being upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for the students to learn and innovate. The Department is fully equipped with all the labs required for the curriculum like Electrical Machines lab, Power System lab, Electric Drives lab, Power Electronics lab, Control System lab, Microprocessor and microcontroller lab, Electronics Measurement and Instrumentation lab, Project lab.
For the extra curriculum activities, we have formed “Electrical Engineering Students Association” (EESA) in 2012-13 There are various programs that we arrange regularly such as workshops, educational tours and industrial visits to organized to enhance the practical knowledge of the students and to interact with the recent technologies used in the industries.

How to Apply
Admissions to DYPCET are as per the guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education.
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra State will conduct MH-CET (Common Entrance Test) for admissions to first year B.E/B. Tech programs for academic year 2017-2018. For more information visit Directorate of Technical Education website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in
